Introducing the BC Lung Screen Trial

This is a study aimed to improve lung cancer survival rates by screening eligible participants with low dose chest CT scans.


Study Eligibility

If you are:

  • 55 to 80 years old

  • A current or former smoker 

  • In relatively good health

you may be at risk of developing lung cancer and may qualify for a FREE low dose chest CT scan.

All appointments associated with this trial will take place at the Vancouver Thoracic Office at VGH.

Study Leadership

The B.C. Lung Screen Trial is led by principal investigators Dr. Stephen Lam (Respiratory Medicine), Dr. John Yee (Thoracic Surgery), Dr. John Mayo (Thoracic Radiology) and co-investigators Dr. Anna McGuire (Thoracic Surgery) and Dr. Renelle Myers (Respiratory Medicine) at the Vancouver General Hospital in association with the B.C. Cancer Agency.
